Dogs being left in hot cars - RSPCA advice links

Dear residents, 

Police were recently called to the Wimbledon Park ward via 999 in relation to a dog being locked in a car during the hot weather. For  more information please visit the following RSCPA article which will also provide information on how to spot the signs of heatstroke in dogs. 
 

  • If you see a dog showing signs of heatstroke dial 999
    - Do not immediately break any windows or cause damage to the vehicle as this can be classed as criminal damage
    - Contact police and provide all known information 
     
  • If you see a dog who is not showing signs of heatstroke you can contact the RSPCA cruelty advice line on: 03001234999
